Melbourne Centre for Women’s Mental Health publishes articles, essays, memoirs, reviews, and interviews that take interest in mental health through a feminist lens. We encourage writers from a diverse background and of varying levels of experience to pitch to us. We pay our writers for their contributions.
Some things to include in your pitch:
- Why are you the best person to write on your chosen topic?
- How does your topic relate to mental health and/or feminism?
- What will our readers get from reading your piece/ what insights are you hoping to convey?
- Proposed word count/ timeframe
- Author bio / writing sample

Research
We are interested in collaborating with individuals and organisations to research areas relevant to womens mental health with a particular focus on:
- Publishing unique voices
- Promoting conversations and collaboration between professionals and people with lived experience
- Promoting authentic conversations about feminism and mental health that address anti-oppressive practice and socio-cultural factors.
